Alicante born, and Madrid based Jorge Seva (aka Alex Roman) has spent 4 years creating this absolute masterpiece of CGI animation. Everything you see in this video has been created by him on a computer. And it's absolutely amazing. I strongly recommend you watch these in full screen.

The director, Tom Gibbons, describes his fascination with Kafka's story: "The excuses I was hearing over and over were 'nobody really understands stop-motion' and 'it is too expensive.' ... I was attracted to this romantic and oddly futile character. The artist, against all odds and better judgment, refuses to abandon his craft. I don't think of him as a hero, and yet some crazy instinct or corner of myself does. There is ironic humor to the idea that the starving artist was flipped into an artist who starves.""

“Musashino Plateau” and “Japan” — a pair of 3D computer animations directed by Nobuo Takahashi — illustrate (in dramatic fashion) how Japan’s landscape changed during the postwar period of rapid economic growth. The animations begin slowly with the early postwar recovery years, but the pace quickens to a frenzy as explosive growth during the bubble years (late ’80s/early ’90s) transforms the cityscape into a chaotic, tightly packed jumble of single-family homes, large apartment complexes and high-rise buildings. In the end, development grinds to a halt with the collapse of the bubble.

"(My Baby just cares for me) featured on her (Nina Simone 1933-2003) debut album Little Girl Blue (1958) and was unnoticed for many years. Then in the mid-1980s, the song gets used in a [perfume] advertisement. It was released as a single, and became one of Simone's biggest hits, causing her comeback."
